Job Description:

Role Purpose

This role is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-impact AI and Data initiatives across the region. The Project Manager ensures initiatives are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while complying with Bank's project governance, risk management, regulatory, and responsible data standards. The role partners closely with business, technology, risk, compliance, and regional PMO stakeholders to maximize business value from Data investments.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Project Delivery & Execution

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Data programs and projects, from initiation through closure, in accordance with Bank's Project Management Standards.
  • Define and manage project scope, objectives, success criteria, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Identify, assess, manage, and escalate project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests as required.

Stakeholder & Governance Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for senior business stakeholders, technology leads, vendors, and regional / head office counterparts.
  • Establish and maintain effective project governance, including steering committees, decision forums, approvals, and status reporting.
  • Ensure alignment with Regional PMO governance, Head Office requirements.

AI & Data Enablement

  • Oversee delivery of AI and data platform initiatives aligned with business priorities & EA standards.
  • Ensure responsible AI principles are embedded across the project lifecycle, including model risk, ethics, data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Translate complex technical and data concepts into clear, executive-level communication and decision materials.

Project Coordination

  • Prepare, maintain, and regularly update project status documents to ensure information remains accurate, current, and aligned with project progress.
  • Coordinate with peer teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to arrange meetings, track follow-ups, and remind developers to complete assigned tasks on time.
  • Create and maintain JIRA tasks, ensure task details are regularly updated, manage the Kanban dashboard, and conduct daily stand-up meetings to monitor progress and remove blockers.

Reporting, Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide accurate, timely, and executive-ready project status reports, dashboards, and governance artefacts.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of AI & Data delivery practices and PMO standards.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to junior project managers as required.

Financial, Vendor & Resource Management

  • Manage project financials, including budget planning, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance management.
  • Lead vendor engagement and performance management to ensure contractual, delivery, and quality expectations are met.
  • Optimize utilization of internal and external resources across concurrent initiatives.

Experience

  • 8 – 12+ years of IT project management experience, including 2–4+ years leading large-scale, complex initiatives
  • Demonstrated experience delivering AI, GenAI, data analytics, or data platform programs
  • Experience operating in regulated environments such as banking or financial services
  • Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder, regional initiatives5.3 Skills & Competencies
